He served as chairman of Air India at the national carrier in 1986 to 1989.He served the Tata group as chairman in 1991 to 2012. He Interim chairman of 2016 to 2017 of Tata group. Under His Stewardship Acquiring the Global Brand Acquisition like Tetley , Jaguar land rover , Burnner Mond and Corus. He contributed his more than half profit to various charitable trust. Personal Life

Ratan Tata full name is ” Ratan Naval Tata ” He was born on 28 December 1937. His parents Naval Tata and Sonoo Tata. He has a brother Jimmy . At the age of 10 Rata Tata parents are separated after both brothers grown up by their grandmother Navajbai Tata . He done his schooling in Bombay at Campion school and John Connon school .

Most of the interview ratan tata sir said in interview his grandmother ( navajbai ) was indulgent , she is strictly behaved that time we had not many friends , we are very protected .I learnt piano and played lot of cricket his growing up years.

Mr. Ratan Tata joined Tata Industries in 1962 .where he worked on floor 6 months at Telco ( Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company ) now it’s Tata Motors .it’s difficult for him but he gained lot of experience there and understood his family business .

In 1963 Mr. Tata moves to Tisco now it’s Tata Steel at Jamshedpur for facilitating training programme. after two year later he is appointed as technical officer in engineering division in 1965.

In 1971 he become director-in-charge of NELCO ( National Radio and Electronic Company Limited) .That company is passing through financial crises ratan did hard work to build improved consumer division but the economic recession and union issue did not proof successfully. He was transferred to empress mil in 1977 .He made a plan for mil’s revival but other company executive rejected it and shutdown the empress mil.

In 1991 JRD Tata appointment Ratan Tata as chairman of Tata Group. Others existing executive have objection for this concern about management and responsibilities .Once Tata Group Helm, Tata successful improved the Organisation overall position . He modified the management and vision of division and also managed the management increase their dividends. Meanwhile The Period He was also prime minister of council on trade and industry member and become a advisor board of RAND for Asia Pacific Policy.

In December 2012 , On His 75th Birthday Ratan Tata Resigned as Chairman of Tata Group ,Cyrus Mistry , The managing director of Shapoorji Pallonji Group Become the chairman of Tata Group.
