Personal Life – PT Usha Biography

PT Usha full name is ( Pilavullakandi Thekkeparambil Usha ) She was born on 27 June 1964 in the village of koothali which located in Kerala. Pt Usha born into modest family. PT Usha father name is T.V Balakrishna who is a farmer. and her mother name is T.V Lakshmi who is a housewife. she was one of the fifth of six children in her family. Her family have financial crunches despite of this situation her parents encouraged their daughter to believe in her dream.

She was nine when she discovered her natural talent and her passion for becoming a athlete .Pt Usha father encouraged her daughter by creating himself a running track for her .

Her father knows as well he can’t afford to send academy for her practicing but That running track helped a lot of PT Usha by set of base for athletic skills . she married with V Srinivasan on 25 April in 1991.

Pt Usha husband V Srinivasan was a once a national Kabaddi player and he also worked as inspector at CISF ( central industrial security Force) .

The Lovely couple had a son his name Vignesh v Ujjwal .Her mother want to be turn out to be a good athlete.

Ujjwal in his childhood doing good but later he has no any interest in track and field.

One time in a school race a fourth grade students effortlessly went to beat of school champion .three year of her senior .It Astonishing by teachers and her natural talent .After a few year Kerala government had a set up of sports division for women and PT Usha earned a place in first batches of sports Orinated school. Where she started practicing under in OM Nambiar .

In 1979 she noticed by everyone when she won individual championship at national school games. In 1980 Pt Usha meet her first international she won 4 gold medal of India .

1984 in Los Angeles Olympic she lost the bronze medal in the 400m by 1/100th of second but won people’s hearts.1985 she won 5 gold medal and 1 bronze medal at the Asian track and filed championships in Jakarta. Indonesia. Usha won gold medals in relay categories 200m,400m,400m hurdles and 4*400m.

In 1986 Pt Usha won four gold medal and one silver in track and filed competition at the 10th Asian games which are held in Seoul , South Korea.

In 1998 she won bronze medal in 200m and 400m Asian track federation meet at Fukuoka in Japan .

She retired from athletics in the year 2000 and set up her sports academy in Kerala .She run a free school for athletes who want to take athletic to a new level and they can fulfill the dream of winning gold for India in Olympic.

In Asian Athletics Championship She won 23 medals in all which 14 of which gold medal , six of silver and three bronze .

Jemma Joseph registered cheating case against of PT Usha and other six people who used to work for construction company. Pt Usha and others charged under IPC section 420 by the Kozhikode police in Kerala .it was shocking incident of her career .

In her complaint Jemma Joseph revealed she paid 46 lakh to construction company to give a apartment on a given date. When the apartment was still under construction even after deadline of given by her , Jemma decided to take her money back from the builder’s. But they didn’t back the money and Usha also involved with six other people. However , with time the case was settled after forwarded to Kerala real state regulatory authority.
